Hi, I’m Tracey — mid-forties, single mum, full-time writer, and proud owner of a body that decided fibromyalgia would make an excellent party trick.
I finally got my diagnosis in July 2019, after three to four years of endless GP appointments, blood tests, and the classic medical shrug that basically translates to: “We can’t find anything wrong, so… good luck with that.”
Why One Frazzled Fibro?

If you know me from my long-running lifestyle blog One Frazzled Mum, you’ll know my first plan was to tuck my fibro journey in over there. But it quickly became clear that it needed its own corner of the internet — somewhere people who actually want to read about fibro life could find it all in one place.
The name was easy. I kept the One Frazzled brand because, let’s face it, frazzled isn’t going anywhere — and all the other clever names were already taken.
Life Outside the Blog
I’m a single mum to Olivia, now 19, who’s inherited my sass, my stubborn streak, and a gift for reminding me daily that teenage payback is very much alive and well.
These days I write full-time, having swapped a part-time job at an independent greengrocer for deadlines, caffeine, and bursts of inspiration that inconveniently arrive at midnight. When I’m not writing, I’m usually curled up with a box set and a cuppa — or, depending on how the week’s gone, gin and lemonade or vodka and Coke.
Life With Fibro
Fibro, for me, is a cocktail of unpredictability, pain, fatigue, and brain fog — with the occasional side order of “What fresh symptom is this?” I push myself too far far more often than I should, which inevitably leads to enforced time-outs where life slams the pause button whether I like it or not.
I don’t take daily medication for fibro at the moment. Instead, I muddle through with pacing (badly), humour (constantly), rest (begrudgingly), and good old-fashioned stubbornness.
What You’ll Find Here
One Frazzled Fibro is a mix of personal experience, symptom diaries, product trials, and the occasional rant about the absurdities of living with fibro. I’ll also share news, theories, and treatments that catch my attention — and if something looks like it could genuinely help someone else, I’ll write about it.
Most of what you’ll read comes straight from first-hand experience, though I may include guest posts or reviews too. Expect honesty, a bit of sarcasm, and a fair dose of humour — because if you don’t laugh at fibro, it’ll definitely laugh at you.
